splashtop personal remote access to a PC located in US but had had region setting for Aisa
AnsweredHi,
I lived in bay area California. I tried to remote help my father who live in south bay California. but because he read a lot of chinese news website oversea and he had stumbled his own way in setting up his Windows 10 to asia region. Now he reads/write chinese website with all chinese character glory. But it made me impossible to help him remotely with Splashtop personal.
Each time I logging in, I'll get a message asking me for an " all access " subscription. I'm using Splashtop personal free for occasional support. I had tried walk father through and change the regional setting in Windows 10 back to US. But for some reason, WIndows 10 won't hold the changing. At this point, I'm unable to help my father remotely. Is there anyway to change Slashtop somehow to recognize that the IP I'm trying to remote to is located in US? Any help will be appreciated.

Hi @Teh
If we understand your case well, you will need to change these settings from the remote computer's system settings.
Splashtop won't modify your computer's region/language settings unless you change them manually. This means that everything you see through a Splashtop Session would be as if you were in front of the remote computer.
If what you are experiencing is referring to a different case, we invite you to submit a support ticket using this form so we can better understand your case:
