    Have upgraded the Streamer on PC (W7) and Mac (Lion). Now iPad is seeing and communicating well with PC, but doesn't see Mac. And on Mac I don't have access to settings (even to log in, had to do so through your site): clicking on the icon in top-right corner - i get preferences in dropdown menu, but clicking on it brings out just "terms of service" window and no other actions or settings are suggested. Appreciate your support. Thanks.

    - Why is there no mention that the EULA for the creation of a Splashtop account limits the Streamer installation to _TWO_ computers?
    This severely limits the usefulness of the product.
    Does that mean, that I have to use different user accounts for the different apps?

    - Why does the system requirements not mention an internet connection?
    Without it the streamers can not be found. This is a major change to before where all the computers got listed if the streamers were running on the default ports and in the same network.

    - If the Splashtop server is offline, there is no way to connect to the streamer. Before you could set up the firewall with port forwarding or use a VPN to connect, regardless of the Gmail account was running. No fall back for Splashtop downtimes.

    - Why is it not mentioned that the system requirements also include a Splashtop account. For people who do not want to involve 3rd parties when they remotely access their computer, this is a really bad update because Splashtop needs to be involved for contacting your remote PC. Like mentioned in the point before, this could be handled differently in the 1.x version. When this streamer becomes a standard for all the apps then its usefulness is greatly diminished. Now I could use the keyboard/touchpad app to just set up a pc without the need for an internet connection. This is way bad.

    @Konstantin Prozorov, just wondering when the "terms of service" dialog pops up, is there Accept and Decline button? Thinking you can click on Accept to proceed.

    Have you guys given up on supporting WebOS with Splashtop 2? Can I add this then to my Android Device or iPad instead?

    @Ryan Tseng, reply to Link
    The software does not work in a ntework that can not have an internet connection. I have two networks running which have no internet connection at all. Mobile internet has no reception and land lines do not exist there. So there is no way to connect to the Splashtop server at all. Befor the connection was easy by IP and port. Now this no longer works with version 2. This is a huge step backwards and the link does not solve this problem.

    And the 2 computer EULA limit is not helping either. And on the website this limit is not made clear enough. The problem is also that the EULA is included in the streamer part. So after you have bought the software you are only made aware of that. It should be either rewritten in the EULA or advertised together with the apps.

    @Frank Würbach, sorry for replying late. You've made a good point. We are reviewing internally with regard to the "two computer" limitation. This policy is meant to ensure good performance across all of our users, but of course the policy also needs to meet the needs of our users. We will keep you posted of any adjustments to the policy.

    Besides, we are still investigating to add connection by IP and port function back. Will update when there is progress.

    I will have to avoid getting the "upgrade" since it allows only two computers because we have four computers (two of them laptops) in our household and I am the person my family relies on to help them whenever they have computer problems... Pity, it had fit our needs exactly, but this new version would force me to have to choose only two of them. I really hope this limitation is dropped...

    Hi all,

    We've modified two computers to be 5 computers and if you have other Splashtop app, the computer connected by the app won't be counting into these 5 computers.

    @Ivan Trufanov,

    In our internal test, Streamer v2.x also works in Mountain Lion.
