Where and how do I create a Splashtop Account? I am a new Splashtop Personal user.

Welcome to Splashtop Personal (previously known as "Splashtop 2") !

Basically, you can create your Splashtop Account from either the iPad app, or computer running the Streamer v2.  Here are the guidelines for you to create your Splashtop Account.

Creating a Splashtop Account from your iPad:

1.  Launch the Splashtop Personal (Splashtop 2) app.  You should see a screen without any Streamer listed.  Tap the Settings icon (the Gear icon in the upper right).  You will then see a screen like the one shown below.  Click "Create an account".

2.  In the Email and Confirm email fields, type an email address which is capable of receiving email from Splashtop.  Then type a password for your account  in the Password and Confirm password fields, shown below.

caution-icon.gif   Please heed the following rules when composing your password:  Your password MUST be between 6 ~ 20 characters long;  MUST contain both letters and numbers;  and may optionally contain the following special characters including the "space" char.  (Note:  Letters are case-sensitive, so uppercase and lowercase are treated as different.)

Or, if you are creating a Splashtop Account using the Streamer:

1.  Install Streamer v2 in your computer and launch it.  In the Status tab, you'll see a screen as pictured below.  Click "Create one" to create a Splashtop Account.

2.  When you see the screen shown below:  In the Email and Confirm Email fields, type an email address which is capable of receiving email from Splashtop.  Then type a password for your account  in the Password and Confirm Password fields.

Please connect your iPad and Streamer(s) to the Internet at least ONCE, so that you can log in to your Splashtop account on both the iPad and your computer(s).  Then you can connect your iPad to your Streamer within a local network.

note.gif  NOTE:  You still need the Anywhere Access Pack (AAP) if you want to connect your iPad to your Streamers from different networks (WiFi or 3G/4G).  Please check this link for how to purchase AAP.

    do i need to pay for this service? I have setup access on my PC but cant connect from my tablet (Droid).

    so this app and program is pretty much useless. can only access the computer from your home network without paying for a subscription. why would i need to access my computer from my phone if i'm already home. what a waste of time

    Interested in adding splashtop onto my app launcher app; is there a URL assocaited with splashtop?

    I am an IT guy and find that most people are NOT very tech savvy. Therefore, as a convenience, I try to do as much as I can for clients, in terms of setup. Like ANY other web site, there should be a way to simply create an account online. Why does this HAVE TO be done from an iPad or from the Splashtop Streamer itself??? In this case, the streamer is many thousands of miles away, which is why I am trying to set up splashtop - so I can remotely access and service that computer. So no way for me to set up this account, as I normally would for my clients. so now I have to try talking the client through this process, which is fine, but NOT ideal. I could do this faster and with more certainty on my own. It will take longer and be far more cumbersome to try to do everything over the phone with someone who is not very good at using a computer. why, in god's name, is this the only site that DOESN'T allow account creation at the web site itself? Anyway, obviously no options, given what I read on this page!

    and, btw, only posting here, because the form I tried to send in my feedback FAILED, which forced me to try calling the support number. but only got vmail there. so the first option I tried on the site wasn't working. then the phone call didn't work. So forced to post here. But have no idea what kind of support this is or I should expect. Will I get some email reply? Will I get email at least letting me know that a reply has been posted here? Or do I now have to keep checking in manually until someone hopefully replies?? all very odd. just wanted to set up an account! LOL.

    @Clakes,

    You could go to my.splashtop.com to create a new Splashtop account. Though you will still need to phone your client to let them log in the newly created Splashtop account.

    With Splashtop Business you could deploy the streamer with some info and settings pre-inserted, it will help in your case. You could refer to http://www.splashtop.com/remote-support for more details.

    As for the feedback form, is there any error message you saw when sending failed?
