A Splashtop Account enables you to easily and securely connect to your remote computer with minimum setup. This account is the only "configuration" needed to connect to computers. There is no need to configure routers, ports, or firewalls; or to manually enter IP addresses or security codes. With the addition of the Anywhere Access Pack, the same simple process lets users connect to their devices reliably from anywhere in the world, over the Internet.
Simply enter a valid e-mail address (capable of receiving e-mail from Splashtop) as the identity of the account, and assign a password. Once you have created the account, log in again. After the Splashtop Streamer has been logged in with the same account, you will be able to see the remote computers in the Splashtop Personal / Splashtop 2 client app's computer list.
Note to users upgrading from Splashtop Remote Desktop v1.x.x.x : Your new Splashtop Account is NOT the Gmail address with password/Security Code that you may have used for the old version. You need to create a new account to log in.

NOTE: A Splashtop Account is totally owned by Splashtop Inc., and all paid features including Anywhere Access Pack will be identified by this account. It is:
- Valid for several Splashtop Streamer and Splashtop Personal (Splashtop 2) clients. Apply one time for multiple Streamers/Clients.
- NOT the Apple-ID that you registered in Apple.
- NOT the account you registered in this Splashtop Personal / Splashtop 2 Support site.
- NOT the Google service account (e.g.: Gmail) you used in Splashtop Remote Desktop for the Internet Discovery feature.
