I want to subscribe to Anywhere Access Pack or Productivity Pack. How do I do this?

If you have downloaded the "Splashtop Personal" app (previously known as the "Splashtop 2" app) from the Apple app store, Mac app store, Google Play, or Amazon store, and want to subscribe to Anywhere Access Pack or Productivity Pack, please follow the instructions below to purchase it:

I. From "My Splashtop"

You can subscribe to Anywhere Access Pack or Productivity Pack on My Splashtop, and pay for them with a Credit Card or via PayPal.  And, please note that the feature you subscribe to here will be applied to all Splashtop Personal apps, including Splashtop Personal for iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac OS.

For more info about subscriptions, please check this link.

II. From iOS devices  (It is similar to Android devices):

1.  Make sure you have logged in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase Splashtop 2 (now known as "Splashtop Personal") on your iPhone/iPad/iPod.  If not, it might cause the subscription to fail, but still get charged by Apple.

2.  Make sure the In-App Purchases option is ON as shown in the example below.  Otherwise, you may get an error message like "In-App purchases are not allowed."  You can find this option in Settings -> General -> Restrictions -> In-App Purchases.

IAP_purchase.PNG

3.  Create a Splashtop Account.  If you need instructions about how to create one, please click here.

4.  Make sure the Splashtop Personal (Splashtop 2) app on your iPhone/iPod/iPad is v2.1.0.5 or newer.

5.  Make sure your iPad is connected to the Internet, then log in using your Splashtop Account on Splashtop Personal (Splashtop 2).

6.  Check Settings --> Splashtop Account --> See your purchase here  in the Splashtop Personal (Splashtop 2) app, or just hit the "upgrade" (up.PNG) button in the computer list.  You will see a detailed subscription table.

NOTES:

a)  It will show "the end date of current subscription" if you had subscribed to it.

b)  If your iPad has been JailBroken (JB), please don't use it to subscribe to the Anywhere Access Pack or to subscribe to the Productivity Pack.  This may result in a subscription failure on our system, but at the same time it might still be charged by Apple.  In this case (if your iPad has been JailBroken), please subscribe directly from our website  (my.splashtop.com)  instead.

c)  For Android devices, the Purchase page will not be available unless your tablet and Streamer are on different networks.  When you see a "satellite" icon on your Streamer, clicking the Streamer will bring you to the Purchase page which contains two buttons, for a 1-year subscription.

7.  Two subscription plans are available for both features at this moment:
         a)  Anywhere Access PackYearly $16.99 ($U.S. Dollars, not a fixed price).
         b)  Productivity PackYearly $16.99  ($U.S. Dollars, not a fixed price).

8.  You could still check the detailed Splashtop Account info on My Splashtop.

    No, it's for iPad users at this moment, but it'll be applicable too once the other Splashtop 2 apps released.

    Will the old method of using your Google Account still be available? I hope so or else I may end up finding myself moving away from your products.

    I installed Splashtop 2 HD on my Nexus 7 tablet. I might be interested in buying the Access Pack, but the purchase screen (shown on this page) gets cut of on my screen (resolution 1280x720) without the option to scroll or zoom out, so I can't press the buttons.

    I understand? this, but the issue you ran into, you are solving it with a lifetime free app, instead of a temporary free time period. This is a difference. A real one.

    @jaff;  It sure sounds like you are using Android users to pay for themselves and IPAD users, because you couldnt figure out how to bill ipad users?  Thats pretty lame.

    I tried to purchase the access pak, but it is grayed out on my device.  I tired it while logged in and while logged out; still greyed out.  Based on the way you are treating andorid vs ipad, I'll probably be using an alternate product anyway.   But you may want to fix this access pak link if you expect anyone to do the in app purchase.

    @Curt Wrigley, othon fernandez,

    Thanks for your feedback. Could you share us what android tablet you are using? we'll have a check. It would be much appreciated if you can give us a screenshot.

    We really don't favor any OS/device users. We are only focusing on delivering best products for our users. However, there will be differences.  ie, Android users benefit from Tegra/Snapdragon optimization, which iOS users don't (as Apple hardware is closed). Besides device differences, different policies exist across app stores (apple, google, amazon, rim, microsoft…), introducing constraints.   As an example, Apple doesn’t allow an app to have different prices in different countries, while Google Play allow this.   Some app stores support in-app-purchase and subscription but some don’t.   The refund policies are different across stores.   There are more jailbroken devices/apps for certain OS than the others, which we have to worry about overloading our infrastructure.   Please also note that Splastop2 Android is free while Splashtop2 has always been a paid app on iPad.   We do make different pricing strategy and plan for different device and markets due to different constraints.

    @art mcallister,

    Splashtop 2 is currently only for iPad and Android tablets, the other apps can use Streamer v2.x but still need to use gmail for remote connection case.

    Connected via ethernet for Streamer is required for WoL feature.

    I'm currently trying to migrate to Splashtop2 on my Samsung Galaxy 10.1 (android 3.2).

    Does the old Splashtop1 allow me to access my home computer when I'm away from local LAN? or do I need to go to SP2 & purchase the 'access package'?

    If I can access accross the internet with SP1, where do I find the instructions on how to do it?

    Thank you.

    @Richard Proulx,

    Splashtop v1.x can connect between two different network via gmail logged in, however, Google server is not controlled by Splashtop and can't provide a stable connectivity. Splashtop 2 uses Splashtop cloud and controlled by Splashtop, able to provide  a stable service.

    Splashtop v1 is no longer on app store, if you still have other Splashtop app like Whiteboard, it still uses gmail to connect for different network case, just logged gmail in on both app and computers.

    @Balazs Soltesz,

    Your AAP will be expired on 6 Oct. It should be still valid at this moment, if you got a status of 'expired', there should be something wrong. Please check this link for more info for all "Status".

    http://support-splashtop2.splashtop.com/entries/21771628-how-do-i-check-if-my-anywhere-access-pack-aap-has-expired

    And I'd like to have a clarification about the "Buy" button in Splashtop Account Tab, it's a new feature we added since v2.1.0.5, it's for the convenience for the users who want to extend their AAP usage before waiting its expiration.

    I just updated to Splashtop 2 on my Apple Ipad (held off due to various comments on the Appstore). However I found that I didn't have the AAP lifetime free? I was under the impression that this was the case if I updated from Splashop 1 from my apple ipad.

    @Somarshi Chichhula ,jaksa scekic,

    If you are using Splashtop 2 app for android tablet, some tablets may can't see the 'Buy' button because its small resolution like Samsung PT-31xx(1024x600), Funbook(480x480)...

    Don't know if you are this case too, anyway, we are planning to fix it in next update.

    If you are talking about Splashtop 2 for android phones, it's coming soon, please stay tuned.

    Wow.  Seems like you guys are losing a lot of money right now.  I installed Splashtop 2 HD on my Nexus 7 tablet and Windows 7 laptop and am very impressed with how it works locally.  But that's useless.  I need this app to access my home laptop from work with my tablet and um... well... ummm... I can't find ANYWHERE ON YOUR WEBSITE OR THE STREAMER OR THE APP any option at all to buy Anywhere Access.  Go figure.  You don't want my ten dollars?

    @Scott Davis,

    We are aware on some particular platform, like Galaxy Tab 2, due to its resolution, the purchase button is invisible, however, for Nexus 7, it should be OK, maybe due to your customized font setting, please temporarily set it to "Normal" in "Settings">"Display">"Font Size". thanks.
