Why does my touch function fail to work after installing Windows 10 Anniversary update?

I reinstalled Splashtop Streamer and Splashtop Personal on my PC after uninstalling Splashtop Streamer first. Uninstalling Splashtop streamer resulted in a never disappearing window with a never ending "in progress" turning around icon. After pressing "cancel" I noticed the streamer was not mentioned anymore in the software list. So I reinstalled. Streamer returned to the software list as one could expect. After this I was unable to try the work-around solution for my initial problem: "touch function failed to work after installing Windows 10 Anniversary update" because "SplashtopVirtual Hid" is not mentioned in the Device manager list of HID's. As a result the settings of Splashtop Streamer are not working anymore. When I connect with my iPad to my remote PC, I can see the Win10 opening screen with some nice picture on it, but when i swipe the screen to be able to type my pasword for logging in, I cannot see any textbox to type. When I go to my PC, I can see a window saying "blanking the screen will not be possible for this session" (eventhough I disabeled that option in the streamer options). I can only see that window on my PC screen, not on my iPad. When I click away that window and type my password on my PC, I can wordk on my remote PC from my iPad. Finally when I stop using Splashtop Personal on my iPad, the login screen for Win10 reappears (eventhough that option is now disabled. I will probably have to find a way to properly uninstall Splashtop before reinstalling. Any suggestions on that?

I attached cleanup tools so you could uninstall the app and streamer then re-install.
If you still see the issue please let us know.

I Installed the Windows 10 anniversary update and applied the workaround but am still unable to use the touch function when connected to my iPad Pro. Any Suggestions?

Can we have a screenshot of Device Manager / Human interface devices? After disabling the virtual hid, did you restart the streamer or the PC?

Disabling in device manager worked for me. I was about to post a question for this very problem after an update to windows 10 yesterday.

I would like to collect more info to address the issue:

1. It is the tool bar or settings in Chrome browser that you can't touch to work, or the links on the web page opened by Chrome browser?

2. Does the issue happen every time during the remote session?

3. Will restart the Chrome browser fix the issue? Can you re-install Chrome browser then see if it works?

I have a very similar issue using a Panasonic Tablet FZ-G1 running Windows 10 and iPad mini running Splashtop.  

In trackpad mode it functions normally.

In touch mode the cursor appears in a different place on the PC from where the touch was made on the iPad. i.e you try and touch an icon on the iPad and watch the pc the click or touch happens in a different place.  In experiments only a portion of the pc desktop is available to touch using splashtop but you can see all of it using splashtop.

There are several other users with the same hardware and the same issue in my line of work.

I have the same PC running windows 7 and it doesnt exhibit this behaviour.

Any help would be much appreciated.
