Would have been nice if that bug had been addressed before iOS 8 was released!

    2 Weeks? that is ridiculous.

So I have no remote access for 2 weeks?. At the very least I'd like some compensation.

This isn't good. They should have known about the Apple release of IOS 8.0 and prepared for it. Most APPS have already sent down their updates for IOS 8.0. Get with the program.

@Dsantin  They have already submitted a fix to Apple.  Did you not read the thread?  What exactly is the scam here?

@Bcmail the error was notified 6 weeks ago. The fix must be sended long time ago. Apple launches betas for developers to test their programs.

I have to agree with the "not cool" sentiment expressed above. You are currently the top-grossing business app on the iTunes Store. You've known about this issue since August 6th (see https://support-splashtoppersonal.splashtop.com/entries/94098973-Splashtop-crashes-in-latest-beta-versien-of-iOS-8 for thread). I put up with Splashtop not connecting about 25% of the time because it's brilliant when it does work, but this is too much.

I love this program but this should have been addressed sooner so we the customer wouldn't be left hanging. I hope you hurry up because it's a very helpful app.

This is very sloppy business, had I known I would have purchases a competitors product. This reflects very poorly on your firm and suggests yours is an inferior product. Any chance you're offering refunds to those of us who believed yours was a product worth buying? You should be ashamed as a business and a merchant.

What a bunch of whining pusses. It's an irritation. What did you pay for this excellent program? I bought two or three and Splastop was best by far. Get your panties out of a wad and chill for a few days. Go by the main competition who once charged 10 times as much for a poor performing product.

Just a simple notification to users that they should delay their upgrade to iOS 8would have been big help. Hopefully Apply will approve the fix shortly, but this sure makes me wonder about how prepared the company is regarding future upgrades. The release date for iOS 8 hasn't exactly been a secret - not sure of how much advanced notice from a technical standpoint Apple gives developers, but this is a disappointment overall.

This is the exact reason I despise Apple and their products.  I don't blame Splashtop for the technical glitch and timing to repair it but it could have been handled a bit better by letting owners of your app know not to upgrade to IOS8 until the bug was fixed in an update.  I know many of the apps that have updates already for IOS8 were very minor tweaks to their apps.   I'm certain changes to a remote desktop application are not simple cosmetic adjustments.  IOS8 itself did not upgrade my device properly and all the network connections I have had to be re-established.  I hope everyone is bitching to Apple about their great IOS upgade process.  It sucks!

You seriously have to update this app to work with iOS 8. You've had access to developer versions of it I'm sure this is not acceptable. I have the legacy application that comes with the subscription automatically but if I were a subscriber I'd be REALLY upset right now. Will your streamer for Mac work with OSX 10.10 Yosemite?

Any update on when Apple may approve the fix? I'm subscribed to the remote and the productivity pack, and this is really stinging.

I installed iOS 8 on my phone and iPad. I then bought Splashtop 2 and paid for the access anywhere. THEN I installed Splashtop 2 on my devices.

    It doesn't work. I wait.

I think Splashtop have done as much as they can now, up to Apple now to approve and submit on the update servers in the US and Europe. Splashtop should, IMHO have tested the app with a beta of iOS8 as other vendors like Nike, Google and so on have already issued fixes on the day of the update.

Things like this happen in our complex world, but the way these problems are addressed with a company's customers is a great indicator of the company's capability and credibility. So far Splashtop is failing with their response to the iOS8 update problems and paying for this failure based on the growing number of recent one star reviews in the App Store. We all receive plenty of communication from Splashtop when they have a new product or service to sell or when they have an opportunity to toot their own horn, but now Splashtop needs to take responsibility and notify customers of this problem so they are not left in the dark. If I had received notice I would have delayed the OS update - now the only option I have is to complain and leave one star reviews...
