    I sure wish all these comments were on the app download. I see nothing but 5stars on the reviews so I buy it set it up and can't use it I've went through all of these suggestions trying to remove the satellite crap. I have a desktop a laptop and a iPad connected to 1 router I can connect the laptop to the desktop but can't connect the iPad to either can't say it's firewalls or anything else because my laptop works so they force me to buy more crap on iPad just to use it. How do I get my money back.

    Ever since I updated the Streamer to 2.6.5.11 (M), which was necessary to get round the "optimisation" features in the new AMD Catalyst software, my iPad sees my computer as being on a different network. I've followed the instructions given above and completed each step to no avail. Both are definitely on the same sub-net, AP Isolated is off, I've tried changing UNPnP settings, etc. Nothing was changed in my network before the Streamer update and so I conclude that it is the update that is the problem. I would appreciate some help.

    @Markirle,

    There should be no change at probing using 2.6.5.11 streamer. Have you tried to restart your router to see if it could work?

    Since you are using iPad, you could also do a quick test by logging out your Splashtop account at Splashtop Personal app, then hit "I wan to use Splashtop in a closed network" link at right bottom side to trigger local mode then see if it could find your target streamer computer which is in the same network environment.

    You could also hit the "..." button at top right to manually add your target computer by its IP when using local mode.

    @Huang Vans,

    The problem is not my iPad nor my router because I have 2 computers on my local network. One it sees correctly and the other as being outside. Both are on the same sub-net. The problems started when the AMD Catalyst software updated, hence the need tor  2.6.5.11, which disables the game optimization of Catalyst. I shall try removing Catalyst....

    @Vans.Huang Problem solved by installing another update of AMD Catalyst, but not the video streaming nor game optimisation options, and then reinstalling the latest Splashtop streamer (2.6.5.12).

    @Markirle,

    Yes, streamer 2.6.5.12 resolves the issue.

    I have one computer with Windows 10 and the other has Windows 8.1. I have done all of the things above, but the computer with Windows 10 keeps showing up with the satellite dish by it and I cannot contact it from my android devices or from my laptop computer with Windows 8.1. Please help me.

    Just bought a new Windows 10 laptop with Kaspersky. The laptop keeps showing up as being on a different wireless network than my iPhone, despite the fact they are on the same network. I manually added the 3 ports into Kaspersky to make sure they were no blocked, but to no avail. I'm simply not going to buy this service then.
    If they can't get this right, why should I trust them to get anything right? Seems like a ploy to get me to upgrade from personal.

    @Vans,Huang I received a Message from your supporter which simply sent me back to the list of things to try above. To which I responded that as I had already said in my original Comment, I had tried all of those things. I was looking for additional help beyond what was in that list. I received no response to that. I simply uninstalled Splashtop from all of my devices and canceled plans to make any purchases. Google provided me with a remote desktop application that works fine. I'm not going to beg for assistance.

    @Aperio.Veritas,

    I checked your Splashtop account, there are one devices with Splashtop Personal app installed and one device with the streamer installed. They have different public IP.

    Do you have other devices with Splashtop Personal app or the streamer installed that I missed?

    GOT IT FIXED!

    For corporate PCs, it will show a satelite because even it you are connected to the same WLAN, usually will be through a VPN tunneled up to a remote location. So, simply use the "Anywhere Access Pack" instead thwe local one.

    It worked perfectly fine for me!!!  :)

    By the way, it would be great if there was an app that combine both options together in a cheaper price!!!

    The thing I have noticed is I think Windows it's self is blocking it in my case, i can remote start my computers and then use Splashtop top use them but I have noticed the sat. Pops up if no user is signed in after I sign in with the computer keyboard and refresh it's no longer a say.
