Splashtop Gamepad gives the opportunity to have on-screen buttons for "gaming". Furthermore gamepad uses a special compression algorithm specifically designed for Tegra3 (obviously it's a plus only if you have a Tegra 3 device). However if you use external peripherals to control the PC (mouse and keyboard with an OTG cable), the features between the two products are similar (with a plus for splashtop 2 that provides native resolutions above 720p and trackpad mode for the mouse).
